Lemon Bergamot (Monarda citriodora)

Growing conditions:

- Prefers a sunny position (at least 6 hours of sun per day)

- Grows best in well-drained soil

Spacing: 30–40 cm apart

Plant type: Although technically an annual it often behaves like a perennial in many New Zealand gardens by  returning year after year with little effort.
